I'M MAKING THE MOVE!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />It's been a good few years with this blog! Formerly known just as styleavenger-(yikes what a cringe worthy name!) a0style will be no longer after this post. I will easily admit that I had practically no viewership despite posting throughout the years. But I never cared all that much- I've honestly loved blogging for me and no one else. I found expressing and recording my thoughts down not only stress relieving, but fun as well!<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've recently been posting under one outlet, which is the username 'angie0nline'- on instagram, twitter, the whole works! (If only I could change my youtube username SIGHGGGHGHH.) After a few months I decided to make the big change. If any random person was reading this, you'd probably be wondering "????" "she has like no readers! What was so hard about that!!!" But it was hard for me to leave this blog behind because it was so personal, and JUST FOR ME! To the point where all the posts were memories I kept holding onto.<br /><br /> I started to expand my interests beyond 'style' and found that the blog I had created kind of limited my way of thinking and expressing exactly what I wanted to. I had so many different blogs/channels/accounts and outlets for several things, I found myself enjoying blogging less because I was so spread out and separated even though I am after all, just one person.<br /><br />So I cordially invite you to join me at my new blog, <a href="http://angie0nline.blogspot.com.au/" target="_blank">angie0nline</a> . This is where I will be posting everything related to blogging in the future. The name is just basic and I feel more comfortable divulging all aspects of my interests under this title. I have been posting food pics on this blog for quite a while now.<br /><br />Anyways, I would just like to say that ANYONE who has ever read any of my posts on the blog, if you ever see this, thank you! If you'd like to see more from me then I'd love for you to visit angie0nline. But who am I kidding? I'm the only one here! And I'm fine with that :D<br /><br />This is my final sign off on this blog *wipes tear*,<br />Loved every part of it,<br />Angie.<br /></div>

<br />
Hi yall, long time no blog. I've been swamped with uni/work/life blah blah the usual! But I have a review for you today, of the ever so popular Sleek eyeshadow palettes.<br />
You've most likely heard a tonne about these just as I have. I was very excited to try them as they're highly recommended by many beauty bloggers and I am a novice makeup enthusiast looking to expand my range.<br />
<br />
I decided to pick up unusual colours that pushed my comfort zone as there was a low commitment factor due to the affordable price of each palette. Even if I didn't particularly like the shades, I wouldn't be too devo testing them out as they are great value for money. I wanted to divide the posts up into short and succinct reviews, so here is part 1.<br />
<br />
<b>"DEL MAR" Limited Edition </b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvJ75lYbNAFU11T5BPhd9Tb6Eqa4pLjXFLVelh5DrSrOVbSgiVVr3ZYGpFzcq3ZT4OKrvIBs1xODN4QJ60n4tSp3JjFvSNHDNduBspfrwKGBn7vqNETCdlmWj1H6-oNtbivH54foKNHOQ/s1600/IMG_8865.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvJ75lYbNAFU11T5BPhd9Tb6Eqa4pLjXFLVelh5DrSrOVbSgiVVr3ZYGpFzcq3ZT4OKrvIBs1xODN4QJ60n4tSp3JjFvSNHDNduBspfrwKGBn7vqNETCdlmWj1H6-oNtbivH54foKNHOQ/s1600/IMG_8865.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggMzHK_9Yjcwt58HrI8o3x2WbGQ_OIvS1z93TvDNe2f1IcFkh3r5r24o_ryA0hkP2VTbOdxC0u40ii8hJT9JY4Lj2-CoCcbkmjZ5SusIvskf5f_vf2Wf_b3yaf5hfdoq4TeTDaA0M-u9M/s1600/DEL+MAR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggMzHK_9Yjcwt58HrI8o3x2WbGQ_OIvS1z93TvDNe2f1IcFkh3r5r24o_ryA0hkP2VTbOdxC0u40ii8hJT9JY4Lj2-CoCcbkmjZ5SusIvskf5f_vf2Wf_b3yaf5hfdoq4TeTDaA0M-u9M/s1600/DEL+MAR.jpg" height="310" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Del Mar is</b>...<br />A bright matte dominant palette that verges on the edge of vibrant and lively.<br /><br /><b><u>The good:</u></b><br /><ul>
<li>Great variety of colours to sample, affordable, generally very good quality.</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>Standout shades: </u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<ul>
<li><b>Blue Marlin</b>- a gorgeous rich matte turquoise with exceptional colour payoff, blendability and staying power.</li>
<li><b>Lounge Lovers</b>- satin "baked" style shadow in a unique blue/grey toned gold. Opaque and buttery.</li>
<li><b>Chilled Out</b>- non chalky white shade perfect for highlight. Great quality in such an affordable palette!</li>
</ul>
<div>
<b><u>The bad:</u></b><br /><ul>
<li>Overall not too bad, but the lighter colours were a little chalky and the colour payoff was not bad but not as amazing as the deeper shades. Would have to say talamanca looks quite gross on my skin and opening party looked plain tacky on my yellow asian skin tone.</li>
<li>Not very versatile- colours are difficult to use together. Unless you are a fan of bright looks, it will be difficult to get a lot of use from this palette solely without other neutrals.</li>
<li>Packaging is surely very sleek and secure, but dummy proof since an idiot like myself constantly has trouble opening it.</li>
</ul>
<div>
And here is a random eye look I played with using Chilled out on the brow highlight, Lounge Lovers as the inner corner highlight, Feel Euphoric as the lid shade and Blue Marlin as and eye line. Excuse the grossness of flash and my uneven discoloured skin and ungroomed brows (It was the end of the day and I was oily and had removed all my day makeup. We're all human hahaha.) I am used to desperately relying on primers to get the desired colour payoff so I was very happy with the shades I used to create this look.<br /></div>
</div>
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1RZpTBecFPljAEVVDyH1rMTdMNPjD-42GEt2quRZgGxr7H4r8xhEb55O5OjDlhnvNUIffzigbp8VWWGTcE6JWM97QAIqbaKP7Wip6_AOV0CHjwTqZ_5pZRNiy5oBCgaUZXLqePF6wKu4/s1600/delmar2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1RZpTBecFPljAEVVDyH1rMTdMNPjD-42GEt2quRZgGxr7H4r8xhEb55O5OjDlhnvNUIffzigbp8VWWGTcE6JWM97QAIqbaKP7Wip6_AOV0CHjwTqZ_5pZRNiy5oBCgaUZXLqePF6wKu4/s1600/delmar2.jpg" height="230" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My next reviews will be on the Supreme Palette, the i-Divine Vintage Romance, and Face Form contour kit in "light"!<br /><br />:)<br />

I finally saved enough to purchase some good recording equipment! I'm so happy with the Canon 600D, beyond words and thankful to be able to buy it. Here's my first ever video with it ^^<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
My final exam of the year was today! *hollers* So much excitement and relief flooded through me- even though I probably didn't do too well- I'm so glad they're finally over. This year more than most, I'm looking forward to the break and being productive, getting my life started and reaching my goals finally seems possible. Challenges are abundant, but bring it on (I say for once)!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://stylechase.blogspot.com/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQjnsFNt43r9CcQr4ILygNvBtZS4Hu4RToo4gb6cyeHHpX5jdywVupDOmabC9QiKYuCUPwQHMnehvKUUztVhbKdhsTYcgDVpIACqFEuJ8bzQlyESHtypLwpryzGz2VEcRxd15coPS-Y9I/s640/boop3.jpg" width="500" /></a></div>

This isn't my usual style, but what can I say? I'm not one to be closed minded. I felt so <i>girly</i> and feminine, it was an awkward change haha. Still fun and perfect for this weather while still being modest!</div>

Their designs remain dynamic from season to season.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnUT31bq_JZyPRi7vya9YkjljASybiyw3rwryvx00rWbPPvEs_Oes4zCnHg6OqlfFEsyHbKJo0q15-B8aBK40LdKM1mZLBOXxgG4YRVHS9Bxlpm_K72ac_hAzxO6ueOq3P8xXGCid08qA/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-11-06+at+8.28.50+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnUT31bq_JZyPRi7vya9YkjljASybiyw3rwryvx00rWbPPvEs_Oes4zCnHg6OqlfFEsyHbKJo0q15-B8aBK40LdKM1mZLBOXxgG4YRVHS9Bxlpm_K72ac_hAzxO6ueOq3P8xXGCid08qA/s640/Screen+Shot+2013-11-06+at+8.28.50+PM.png" width="500" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The McQueen A/W 2013 Collection is exquisite, an image of luxury mediated by a skilled contemporary approach to the theme of 'royalty'. The catwalk pieces present us with an augmented aesthetic- a blending of traditional wild extravagance with altered, contemporary silhouettes. Off-shoulder cuts were popular, as well as dress trains and beaded and embroider patterns. Housed in a regal gallery-like setting, the show is centre stage for these marvellous pieces.<br />

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="281" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/kFIMPhSvwWI" width="500"></iframe></center>
<br />
Although this collection is a inspired by royal costume, I don't see pure extravagance in these designs inspired by extravagance. It is clear to me that there is a visible element of control. The designs are bound by order, weight, and title that allude to the theme of royalty- it's clear in the exquisite caged headpieces most of the models donned and by the monotony of the colour palette that further entices restricted tradition. Beading and detail was the focus rather than pushing the envelope with line and shape- which would be expected of this theme. I love the varied approach to the concept as it is subtle but still powerfully executed at the same time.<br />

Alxender McQueen has also translated the essence of the inseason designs into their womenswear collection as well. The pieces offer tidy lines and allude to minimalism while still remaining regal, and more importantly, wearable.<br />

I'm in love with the silhouettes of these pieces- the clean lines and defined shapes reference to a more contemporary, minimalist style too. Hems and necklines are cut to perfection- staying classy but also fabulous. Everything is so on point and not only adheres to current trends, but defines new ones too.<br />

Dresses are definitely a standout- most being sleeved which is unique for modern trends. I'm impressed, and definitely a sleeve type of girl. They're flattering, classy and sexy at the same time. Another gorgeous recurring style in their collection is the square neckline reminiscent of medieval dress. It's been given the mod with short hems and a sexy slim fit like in the black dress below, teamed up with rose gold/gold- the elegance!<br />

The new A/W 2013 collection is perfect. I love the pieces and can imagine all you fashion lovers out there dreaming of warming up in these sexy numbers. Yes, I'm in the southern hemisphere right now, where it's sweltering hot while the rest of the world is preparing for snow. But I can still dream can't I? Or at least admire from afar...Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00943152545279332947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2503939498145336730.post-20138738998657228662013-10-06T01:59:00.003-07:002013-10-06T01:59:57.539-07:00Harley Quinn-esque Colour Scheme with Tripp NYC Jeans <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm definitely proud of my oddball sense of style and these jeans by Tripp NYC were like a culmination of everything embodying my personal style philosophy! They remind me so much of Harley Quinn's jinx-like costume.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">These jeans are crazy. They receive an arguably worse response from the general public than my unif hellraisers do. I've been chastised by random strangers more than once for wearing this seemingly inoffensive pair of pants. Most people ask me if I've just sewn two different pairs of jean legs together. (Of course not lol)</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Teamed this fab pair with my batman converse (duh?!) and some simple monochrome (mainly black) pieces. Can't get more awesome than my double batman reference, even though no one recognised it. Perfect for a lazy day at uni.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In this post, I'm going to explore gradient mapping in Photoshop.
</span><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz8nqEOEuSvc-pxkooCtGZ6rITkQ_D-jlgEJ1ArDaOq8rasWyOOWyrCn1PYs77WNik327iD-Z6O1v5nsISnCCRmnlqAI6SXeCE3czttHhzpovt_Pjkypr1_c-cvxyW4AMrY1twhi9p83o/s320/STEP+6+FILSET1.jpg" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;" width="320" /><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYISev-w96g7cwZrAMvsHWReQ7RW65-jSBym5BkZiuBTfrel1z8_LRLHaAWXpJJtYfftzubOY9wnQNggTonyQGs4gMs5w3DVT3870WlnNWZ3JMz1ky6W1ea4KL-yrXZ4rLxrXfmI1_nnM/s320/STEP+6+FILSET2.jpg" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;" width="320" /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
Alot of people ask me how I get 'instagram' filters on my photos and I've been doing it for years long before instagram became a thing. The reason I call them 'instagram' filters is because they have become very popular recently though apps such as instagram, photowonder etc. and these types of photos appearing </span><i style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">a lot</i><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> on sites such as tumblr and pintrest. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRMVAvvk0YrLd-yR7r21zkj-lw33rc5rcP6yYCobgQopzYoAxQ_QvsxsmMxrONT8C3eMp8EoNaAd7M731pHX5qbL79TVMZ4c0kHTo9h7lFVe200EQ46DTWjs8zGhyphenhyphenksAkmcFVH-b7ddh0/s320/a03.jpg" width="320" /><img border="0" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbL_H-o5g8lo0NGEUbPcoB6TOvP4lVxcZylmwoz_57xMU4Taho1X6AK0rYOeCke1a1Xou4u4Pg1QS5R0RupW4yV7EbktJaQc1fynh5IglojIJ6OLUuUFSVeFA7BL5AUfRZRq9g27zjMqA/s320/a02.jpg" width="320" />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">What they actually are, I would say, is gradient mapped filters that can be used to achieve certain atmospheric effects. They can be done very on any photo editing programs. I am using CS6 but I have done similar on programs such as Paintshop Pro 9 etc. </span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyway, if you are interested in finding out how I colour manipulate my pictures, jump the cut (aka <b>click read more</b>) to find out below! This is a tutorial on gradient mapping. Warning: Image heavy!</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i>*****note: this 'tutorial' requires some very basic photoshop knowledge, such as copy/paste, cropping, sizing etc. If you don't know how to do those very basics, it might be pretty confusing. More importantly, understanding colour will be crucial to getting a good outcome with this method. But I've explained ALOT so no other skills required, don't worry</i></span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i>*****disclaimer: I am self taught and do not know the 'proper' way, if there is one, to do this. I'm sure there are other ways to achieve similar effects but I prefer this one personally. There are no right or wrongs! Only good or bad outcomes!</i></span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span></span>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Before we get started: open your image and perform your desired adjustments in regards to cropping, sizing yaddah yaddah. Most images work with this process of colour altering but pictures with the presence of <b>strong whites and darker shades</b> will result in a clearer outcome. This sometimes can be enhanced by fixing the contrast.
This is a very long explanation just to cover every base possible. I will put extended/additional notes in a smaller font size for those people who need them, but if you get the step right away, feel free to skip the smaller parts.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><u>STEP ONE: duplicate layer</u></b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9gOQls-oYHHqkjwWILFX8AqIU8NYTYYjRI2L4kDSYW6eC__uh_y04OI7JMv4du3Y9lhsw-kPp67b4ruahfn7NNsmJTtoSe78ADJ_R-in9eVi9U4_a8_nRSoqGZXS7fitEpvZhYKUytao/s640/STEP+1+LAYER+DUPLICATE.jpg" width="500" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The bottom right corner will show you the different layers your image is on. Duplicating a layer is basically putting <i>another</i> copy of your image on top of the original and it helps when you are making several edits and changes to the image.
Click the small <b>lifted page icon</b> next to the trash can on the right corner to duplicate the layer. (You can see I've done it twice so far.) </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u><b>STEP TWO</b>: set to screen </u></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You see the little drop box in the previous picture that says 'normal'? (above your layers and 'lock'.) Click on it and a list of overlay filters should appear (pictured below). They 'filter' your image and create certain effects that show certain parts of the image underneath.</span> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfzyP2Z5eayo8i0iDzIhW1gjfrV10TMy9ZPbeTZC1wD8oA4ooIBApwQz0tx1ULMASmIxjnADvH3yTa_rJJiIGf4i9MGXLCj3-NObe1qcUIu7ntj3UGlfQR8XwKdugB36twqBCz6v5H9_s/s640/STEP+2+SCREEN.jpg" width="500" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Set it to '<b>screen</b>' (above). Here's where having a darkish/contrasted image helps.
The 'screen' filter enhances the whites/light in the image so if your photo is already bright, the result will be a super blinding image that looks overexposed. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpleC1NxDic0IpjAhLP9ApvI0WGVM0gUR9wM-qYVQRHOzbPgOkhlFaEJ1qgsnuf_K5UM9vNoj2Xzc0OzDPSnhGSpd_64kddEZiI9hkczAoDX2yPzVGLLsGWHkgCvUQ-fD8d1TPjZXfIqo/s640/STEP+2+EXAMPLE.jpg" width="500" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Disregard how weird the image looks at this screen stage! The reason we do this is to have the layer underneath show through in the next few stages
</span><br />
<b><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u>STEP THREE</u></span></b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u>: Gradient Map</u></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is the step in which we actually 'filter' the image with different colour schemes and the most important step. Head over to <i><b>image> adjustments> gradient map</b></i> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdcQV4RBab_rGCswV1dAqTvt6k9TYiPMfZRNdTEog1PzZ4jRfGr6fuYMqY-9FohHtbEtUBDPje_HcD931ahyphenhyphenFDg_HVL3jtA9lfAhtOy3FJMZkDj85qbW4lRf2ZaSGkPRl8yZy8jwR3dNk/s640/STEP+3+GRAD+MAP+DIR.jpg" width="400" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">First, we need to know how to adjust the different settings on gradient map. The <b>window in the top right</b> of the screenshot below (with the grayscale gradient bar) is what will pop up <b>first</b>.
Click onto that bar as I've indicated and the window underneath it (<b>gradient editor</b>) will pop up with more gradients. If you have not used this before you will only have a few heinously bright gradients. The other ones I have (that you won't) are saved ones I've added, and what you will be learning to do today!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZlHilQvYRg6bY_yXXlaRSbPDpnpJEh2yF35aQd59Rz4I6Zujkli_5IOlPgPjBPw6W07XjUwlqO8_THoOrSc6ovNYoG8b_2o84jcXK0JZ6HTmU_nDolPOe0RXJUAyH4plgudKadqOWW2M/s1600/STEP+4+GRAD+MAP+DIS.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZlHilQvYRg6bY_yXXlaRSbPDpnpJEh2yF35aQd59Rz4I6Zujkli_5IOlPgPjBPw6W07XjUwlqO8_THoOrSc6ovNYoG8b_2o84jcXK0JZ6HTmU_nDolPOe0RXJUAyH4plgudKadqOWW2M/s640/STEP+4+GRAD+MAP+DIS.jpg" width="500" /></a> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Your display should look something like above. The popup windows are moveable. Note that my gradient map is on the default greyscale gradient and as a result, the image is looking very weird and pale right now. The default gradients will not work effectively with all images because all images have <b>different properties</b>, therefore will look different if the same gradient is placed on them. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We are going to look at the gradient editor. The reason why you need to make your own gradients is because if you can edit how the colours appear, you can adjust the filter to any photo you chose to use it on. It can be very difficult and confusing at first, but once you know the controls, you can create a limitless number of different filter styles.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj97jXNZwMg80AgR8UUkfMU8zNbH5kmp2I9A3s9_vEoTzrWKb1OQuRNYdx3gYhV5ucm2zhiLQ7M7y0H8BkT6TJVeANMhpFBeY_lyyNyJg0TKnzDG94xYeBqZ7wEoph6LzmHCcdkPgdOeBQ/s640/STEP+4+GRAD+CON.jpg" width="400" /> </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have tried to label the most import parts that must be understood in order to create your own filters.
A: gradient preview area</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">B: gradient bar</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">C: stops section</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">D: stop/tab</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now your gradient editor should be selected on the default first gradient. It should be on the grey one but if not, click once and select the grey gradient. Now section B should show up with a gradient that goes from grey to white.<i> </i></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i><b>A</b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> is the area where all your gradients can be </span><b>previewed</b>. If you click onto any one of them, the gradient will appear in bar B. The tabs on the top and bottom of the bar are known as <b>Stops</b>. They can be dragged along<b> gradient bar B</b> and determine the <b>blending style</b> between your chosen colours. Area C 'stops' is where the colour settings will appear and where you can change them.</i></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u> <b>STEP FIVE</b>: Stop colour selection</u></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> ***<i>Stops are the little tabs on either side of the gradient bar. They hold little tabs of colour that are show the colours you have placed on your gradient.</i> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Click on the stop</b> leftmost under the gradient bar(lbled.</span><b>1</b>.). The tiny box of colour you clicked on will now show in the </span><b>stops section</b>(labelled as 'C' in the previous image) as the '<b>color</b>'. If you click in that box of colour (<b>2</b>.), the Colour Picker window will pop up. </div>
</span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Your selector will be on the colour that is in the stop you clicked on (mine is at 3. this is the colour of a gradient map that was last used).
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i>Right now I have the image visible in the background because it gives me a live preview of the changes I'm making. This is extremely useful. </i></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgybQ5no35lY3e_d2xAzmoBVZmw_wNPUngaHqmjbaMvzuKOlmPiszfrVjZarQulY7GRkmNecJ94bCAF4Tp32uakoasbE5IcE1EYBxs0ZMNH3HzJmxRtkniN1HbEXwuvo7Ux3FK9ELhmYAs/s640/STEP+5+COLOURING.jpg" width="500" />
<i>S</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><i>so here is the basic key to the stop tabs</i>:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Left side- dark tones </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Right- light tones </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">(You can add more stops along the gradient bar to affect the gradient blend but this is a bit advanced for now.) </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Here's where it will get a bit confusing. The <i>stops</i> on the <b>left </b>side of the gradient bar control the <b>blacks/dark</b> tones of the image and the <i>stops</i> on the <b>right</b> side control the <b>whites/lights</b>. You can see how I've clicked onto (1.). You generally want to stick to having a dark shade on the left tab and a lighter one on the right. This creates the subtle filter effect. If you did the opposite, the image would look inverted/no contrast, with the dark areas appearing light and the light areas appearing dark. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Now onto colour intensity. What I am referring to here is how much of the colour in your gradient will show in your filtered image. So if you think about instagram and the filters, when you're choosing what filter to put on an image, you usual choose one that looks relatively natural, right? Some filters are just too strong, where the original colours of the photo disappear into bright random tones that make the photo look tacky. Well choosing the right colour intensity at this stage will help control this in your image! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Right now I have selected where the circle is- on the colour #<u>0e1b25</u>. The shade of colour can be changed by dragging your mouse along the vertical rainbow bar and the value/tone of that particular colour is selected within the box. You need to know how to control this, therefore you need some knowledge of colour or at least some common sense or you'll be stuck. Don't worry about the colour codes on the right as you will probably never need them if you are a casual photoshopper. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="296" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg19LOVJ7CygHLDJMiVNpziisdRbvaB8h4GP5SxWazP_poPIcPMQtm86eWglGuQ-RJ7EU57nlJqyYPvScHcoWlsBx7yujLk_pFdS1_qf5DOi1K1PqCpM-e-kq6kOlNmS3qBEGBQ1W0EGsI/s400/STEP+5+COL.jpg" width="400" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So the top left hand corner will always be white (#ffffff) and the bottom left will always be pure black (#000000). The difference from top to bottom is value(light to dark) and the difference left to right is saturation(dull to bright). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So remember:
<b>left--> right = colour saturation</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>top--> bottom = tone</b>
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This influences the filters too (which is why I'm explaining this with detail).
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Just so this makes more sense to you, here are some examples. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3uufaXn0mQTtjam6W40xGGSm_kl7c_k7lPgB2v0SqJLBEaeJkiBVz5dNLI2n4iVomel7NOpWe1DB3S9ypyr0-8V1W-VxXQXn-UM0vXLOzcIM8YOrmtsyF-bik6aJUp5uYvvxRipsTGfo/s400/STEP+5+COL5.jpg" width="400" /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The closer to black the shade you select is, the less apparent the effect will be as a filter. (above), I have chosen a colour close to the bottom- <i>near black</i>- and as you can see, there is basically no difference from the original.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFapIkfjeUc374-1EcnBPvuy99nHKZYadbwqD11FO7Fp-aTunAGY2Dds9Yu5GJ0h7CisVnbiJTIqTY3kpV0SXu8RFsdw8bJIA_WtAMcDnzmm9jWdCCKKTGJrHGiU934cuISGTfX0TBhis/s400/STEP+5+COL6.jpg" width="400" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now here I've dragged my colour picker straight up top, and the blue is very visible.<b> top to bottom</b> influences the <b>intensity in value</b> that will appear in your image. So choosing a light colour will make the dark tones look lighter by appearing more through the filter, and choosing a dark colour will keep them close to the original.
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you can imagine putting a dark colour ontop of a dark colour, not much of it will be visibly different.
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">**Because the stop I chose was the one on the left, this is influencing the dark shades (as I mentioned before- it's important!). If I were to choose the stop tab on the right, it would be exactly the same but editing the light shades. With the light shades, it is not opposite. It is the same, so the darker the colour you choose, the less visible it becomes.**
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now if you look very closely at the next two images, the selector is roughly in the same position from top to bottom, yet the outcome on the image is entirely different. The position of the picker <b>left to right</b> influences the <b>saturation</b> of colour in your filter. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpGvtkEpWXBoBow93IlZum_X7P0ZHZJaDZzI6cw5XZh89R3u-bMDpMehS62w-bdQ5fh4wm3IRhAjfu2dRzAMqBUoaGv9kU-_usBO7ixXlNtlFm5lX2s4OCzf4aZgpZEOCxomW6bQoCHzU/s400/STEP+5+COL3.jpg" width="400" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> My selection above is a blue-black. This will make the dark shades if your image tinted with a blue hue. Below, I have chosen a colour with the <b><u>SAME</u> value</b> but different intensity. It is a grey-black and therefore the dark tones in the photo look greyish. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIYtF7dFAJuk9G_LYAQrJ8uVTSTneMCqlPoJIjcotCh61uJn4_T4t-ehx0yCqdgHjC_H1RVLb22RZK8Ew4u_kEyTridBOp_dCR85sDPoPBvQMeixHWItCsCPmvPiuK7srgihV5VD34bt8/s400/STEP+5+COL4.jpg" width="400" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is pretty straightforward once you play around with it a bit. So if my over explaining of directions is confusing, just go around and click in various areas of the colour map and observe how they change the filter.
Once you've understood how to manipulate the colours according to the value/intensity of your image, you can make any sort of gradient you like.
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Complete this step with two colours. The left stop and the right stop. Like a said before, the easiest would be a dark (left stop) and light shade (right stop). This is where knowledge of colour is important. There are millions of colours and you need to know what compliments your photo or what shades would suit each other.
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once you have done so, click '<b>new</b>' to load it into your gradient preview area. This saves your colours. You can use it for other images of similar value this way
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u><b>STEP SIX</b>: finishing your gradient!</u>
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">T</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">he one I have chosen for this teacup image is this: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOeW8Ui6E5qODkqKpIT-waH8aC1L8mYWAHbAnww6EeI8qGBNPF9g0DYBHy886CDwOR-JdQz_Hj7GArB_cVVppn_haG-OhGPp4x4Pasweq84TLoZlmlnpo1qYSIIJyIv745F8c5_QmaeEM/s640/STEP+6.jpg" width="500" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I want to enhance the blues but also keep some warm tones in the image. My gradient is very dark, as I prefer very subtle filters as compared to garish and bright edits. Once I am done, I click 'OK' and the filter is applied! :)
Usually I go for the 'vintage' or 'lomography' effect, which is using a very dark blue/purple in the dark tones and a creamy or washed out tone occupying the whites. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You can see quite a few of my gradients are this similar combo in my screenshots. Depending on the photo, even the slightest difference in value/saturation makes a huge difference, hence why I have so many similar ones</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>ADDITIONAL TIPS ON DIFFERENT FILTERS</b>: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is kind of confusing but very helpful once you understand how to use it. It is complicated if you don't really understand colours, or if you are unfamiliar with different filters and how they look over photos. Most photos don't look good under the same gradient map which is why you will need to adjust and make new gradient maps. If you are stuck for colour combinations here are a few that I use often and work well with different photos: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img a="" adds="" and="" blue="" border="0" br="" deandri="" dominantly="" filter="" for="" good="" green="" harsh="" height="relative" helga="" here="" huge.="" i="" image.="" images="" in="" is="" it="" light="" murky="" mutes="" my="" nice="" of="" on="" ootd="" post.="" recently="" s="" softens="" some="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz8nqEOEuSvc-pxkooCtGZ6rITkQ_D-jlgEJ1ArDaOq8rasWyOOWyrCn1PYs77WNik327iD-Z6O1v5nsISnCCRmnlqAI6SXeCE3czttHhzpovt_Pjkypr1_c-cvxyW4AMrY1twhi9p83o/s400/STEP+6+FILSET1.jpg" strong="" sunlight="" the="" this="" tones="" used="" width="500" yellowish="" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Below is the exact gradient I used. The codes in red are the colours.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOlEionb_8KR6TUP6ZAci-iGPQBSowplDO51Q1bqXKWR2cTsPvl2xLe7O_4Eeom97lZV0pQq_JoHjHwdV9wD6uVoBWVs1BVi0suRVjomClB48-BT1VTYHNUZuJSeQb1VEL9mwnopclaJE/s400/STEP+6+FILSET1+C.jpg" width="400" /> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This filter is a nice overall 'lomography' look similar to <i>amaro</i> on instagram. Generally works on most pics.
Another gradient I use a lot is the one below. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYISev-w96g7cwZrAMvsHWReQ7RW65-jSBym5BkZiuBTfrel1z8_LRLHaAWXpJJtYfftzubOY9wnQNggTonyQGs4gMs5w3DVT3870WlnNWZ3JMz1ky6W1ea4KL-yrXZ4rLxrXfmI1_nnM/s640/STEP+6+FILSET2.jpg" width="500" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This gradient mutes the contrast on an image to give it a very worn, vintage effect. The reason why it looks better than simply minimising the contrast is because it still highlights certain areas and colours retain their relative vibrance. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic4Lqk6rE8k3dTq4J6E-N43MJZvI1alpv_2k9bQHHyqGwwRvrDFQRHQaDgCNeenmVYmeTwXnSIhJ9pnB6bcsdrEbplVdHk1_1iwMJ9ZFgYK7wZI5Cv-2ICRNsK1TxdAeiFrrLFpqgmp0E/s400/STEP+6+FILSET2+C.jpg" width="400" />
</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You can see how these effects are now achieved and how they can make even cheap camera phone snaps like the ones I've used look a bit more sophisticated. Now I'll show you an example using a DLSR quality image (taken with the Canon 400D). </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu8lRtMc8I5dlwKlzqSFl6MD7b-0DYoBVJadDOkTIlFX8uVq_Hk58cCAWKho-rkL8by86CmlR_pzcNEld047_npugdWJaVc9te0c__7XBBgS5SSUI8y9mcPbZcoMYqkRgJUwcOJMO2MrQ/s640/STEP+6+FILSET3.jpg" width="500" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">These filters work on HD images too, but they're very sensitive to slight changes due to the high resolution. Below I've pasted together other filters to show you that there is a difference of colour. Its barely noticeable to the odd viewer but if you delve into photo editing, these things become very visible! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFGxHxnMK6q8NS9gVdoNnDsMGMhPkCR8Kyz-nGbubS4nTJNEnZCCaAEhHj0IXciUDXgONg9mw8OVgPWwS_Fq2xrO_cAGIXBx7FAzaLbAXdSMFJVxFM1MULnxQmDZ5u5r9nbKfFdOx46wk/s640/STEP+6+FILTERS+SAMP.jpg" width="500" /> </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The top two filters are more subtle and focus on the light areas. Left: enhancing the highlights with a warm peachy cream tone. Right: emphasises the warmness of the pink castle with a red colour on the left stop.<br />The bottom two are getting into more complex gradients with more than 2 colours but involve the exact same process as I have mentioned here. L: is playing up the rich blue hues whereas R: is blending the blues with pinker tinges.Alternatively, if you set the 'screen' onto 'normal' it will show you what the full gradient map looks like <i>without</i> the filter effect. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you're looking for some artsy or semi abstract, they produce really awesome effects too. Looks something like this, but very different depending on your colour selection: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhins_ZarP3p-MvR8NC7kbdrXezx8lhT_GpmbkgITbjMsDXd-Vjhwacv-8-itNLeJ4KBVE4BWyjRXPjsrHc6XunsFFO6Czt6c1Rnhj7J7BRE80rvhpsTnWYvqLbjmz3XvCm47sDNVCVCx0/s1600/20130515_171353+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhins_ZarP3p-MvR8NC7kbdrXezx8lhT_GpmbkgITbjMsDXd-Vjhwacv-8-itNLeJ4KBVE4BWyjRXPjsrHc6XunsFFO6Czt6c1Rnhj7J7BRE80rvhpsTnWYvqLbjmz3XvCm47sDNVCVCx0/s640/20130515_171353+copy.jpg" width="480" /></a></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once you are comfortable with the basic gradient map, you will be able to make more sophisticated filters! </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there it is! How instagram filters can be manually done. If you have any questions about the steps, don't hesitate to comment below or get into contact with me. This might feel totally complicated at first, but the more you do it, the easier it becomes to control the colour and determine what looks best! <br />I am looking into trying to duplicate the instagram filters and finding the gradient maps that work for it when I have the spare time. Good luck filtering :)

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hi everyone! I'm back with what I traditionally started out on this blog, which is reviews! I'm not much of a "beauty" person so I don't usually often have many products to offer my opinion on, but I've been using these two items from Clarins for a while and thought I would share.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD9EHOfJcbEExxS_o8HMV264YTJSebrfQVpcFAj7LPT4NaqQnry9vgzPlj_6o7y5ZgaiO3MjyfDAWL5IiW1mS85pNnKkxvLinbYbtmwDhJt-rvINCrFtsT_eIonafG5VvINIbQnJJyLd4/s1600/clar1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD9EHOfJcbEExxS_o8HMV264YTJSebrfQVpcFAj7LPT4NaqQnry9vgzPlj_6o7y5ZgaiO3MjyfDAWL5IiW1mS85pNnKkxvLinbYbtmwDhJt-rvINCrFtsT_eIonafG5VvINIbQnJJyLd4/s640/clar1.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">They are the Hydra-Matte Lotion (for Combination Skin) and Toning Lotion with Iris (for Combination/Oily Skin). So if you are interested, click 'read more' for the review!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">CLARINS Toning Lotion (with Iris) for Combination or Oily Skin</span></b></b></div>
<b>
</b>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I was initially interested in this product because of it's 'alcohol free' properties. I've never tried a toner without alcohol before and I actually quite like it. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtoeRsNq_Toe5W9CA4U82J4t18M7rizR1It_RXxIlILTxkI0g2x9q9-2pncwNYz4DhB7LYSZTKRWD6PkVveHoNNevtnlHCz6oEkxKSjV5SD7YeFGgmm-oQFVYV3n1XNbP6A9NPNSzmOV0/s1600/clarin2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtoeRsNq_Toe5W9CA4U82J4t18M7rizR1It_RXxIlILTxkI0g2x9q9-2pncwNYz4DhB7LYSZTKRWD6PkVveHoNNevtnlHCz6oEkxKSjV5SD7YeFGgmm-oQFVYV3n1XNbP6A9NPNSzmOV0/s640/clarin2.jpg" width="600" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It comes in a flat-cylindrical bottle with a nice smooth, matte texture and a plastic cap. I like that the packaging is transparent and therefore <i>very helpful</i> in terms of me being able to see very clearly how much of the product I have used and how much I have left. It also helps that it looks like a really pretty potion. ;)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjODmHcOS-a3NxhgcjxYsAtdrZH-X2lQlqdl9RKEfcsOw8LCa3npVDj3gl8hzocM2FRYT6vQLyqLGUN_VwLqEyIbG0NWAVZrXwbowrssBMbIFo9AteY5NjWJ0jExd9Z9bQLdVxhP-UgA4E/s1600/clarn2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjODmHcOS-a3NxhgcjxYsAtdrZH-X2lQlqdl9RKEfcsOw8LCa3npVDj3gl8hzocM2FRYT6vQLyqLGUN_VwLqEyIbG0NWAVZrXwbowrssBMbIFo9AteY5NjWJ0jExd9Z9bQLdVxhP-UgA4E/s640/clarn2.jpg" width="600" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The formula is translucent green and watery, also can bubble up quite a bit when shaken. When you open the twist cap, there is no noticeable scent (I really like that!) and the subtle fragrance is quite pleasant and only apparent when you apply it on the nose area or if start sniffling the bottle haha. I really like the toner and I think that the alcohol-free formula is noticeably better than typical toners in some ways. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Firstly, you can use the product sparingly because it doesn't evaporate as fast as alcohol-based toners. And with its pricetag- I intend to use it exactly so! But it's not like the product itself is stingey, the bottle holds a sizeable amount of product and I can tell a little will go a long way.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Another aspect of the formula that I like is that it doesn't give you the tight-squeaky-stripped feeling on your face. My skin is <b>extremely oily/acne prone</b>, but I find that when I use very strong face products (ala Proactive), my skin gets worse, if not crazy, because it doesn't react well with being stripped of oils. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The 'Iris' is gentle. In all honesty, I don't know much about Iris and skincare, but I do know about alcohol so I'm using it as a comparison. I feel like because this toner is gentler, my skin has more 'bounce', or elasticity and moisture as compared to when I've used other toners. My skin has gradually felt more 'natural' and silky smooth when I wake up in the morning!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The downside to the Iris Toner is obviously the price. It's so <i>expensive</i>, I will most likely not repurchase it. Although I have presented several benefits when using this toner, it's not a miracle worker on my acne (<i>and I don't expect it to be!</i>) and I think that is what takes precedent in my skin care routine. I'm considering repurchasing my favourite acne toner again because my skin needs it. But overall, I really like this toner and would <u>definitely recommend it for people who have combo/oily skin but not as much acne</u>. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">4/5</span></div>

<b></b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">CLARINS Hydra-Matte Lotion for Combination Skin</span></b></b><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This product is a lotion type cream that I use as a makeup base. I've been using casually it for a few months now especially when my skin feels oily. Lately I haven't really been bothered though because it's winter and my skin gets rather dry. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqKmdC9t9gA8DQvBAH19VN32Hi58d6HwyQ2lEDHm4K217B0euGRH671X5RQD-JlmD5KFDoIFhPMREUHD6ZTJE5M3Ak8fP8TQBwjJ5KNUPtw0gtCMoYfeoIu-3mNRElVaKyE-9hefUNDME/s1600/clarin3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqKmdC9t9gA8DQvBAH19VN32Hi58d6HwyQ2lEDHm4K217B0euGRH671X5RQD-JlmD5KFDoIFhPMREUHD6ZTJE5M3Ak8fP8TQBwjJ5KNUPtw0gtCMoYfeoIu-3mNRElVaKyE-9hefUNDME/s640/clarin3.jpg" width="600" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The directions read:</span></div>
<i></i><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><i>'radiance, comfort and a matte appearance for combination skin. Apply daily to cleansed face and neck.</i>'</span></i></div>
<i>
</i>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I think this lotion is really good for my <b>oily t-zone</b>. I use it as a <b>base</b> because it is almost impossible for me to use normal makeup bases due to the fact that they contain silicon and clog my pores like there's no tomorrow. This is probably the only product that I've been able to successfully use as a base-type product without breaking out and other acne related problems!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">With the Hydra-Matte Lotion, the product comes out in a creamy lotion consistency but becomes very watery when I work it my skin. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2mnMicOFJ1kY_bDkADQdNrTjQIFrJzWiGNr9qGa5hGogGDcOYFvBEaCNYgV83etty3231rT_SDdiVw-711yb19Fsri78K-7NXbVAW3XySruC3ZRxGZ2nT98qe2a4dBCGXXBVxyBshL9s/s1600/clar2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2mnMicOFJ1kY_bDkADQdNrTjQIFrJzWiGNr9qGa5hGogGDcOYFvBEaCNYgV83etty3231rT_SDdiVw-711yb19Fsri78K-7NXbVAW3XySruC3ZRxGZ2nT98qe2a4dBCGXXBVxyBshL9s/s640/clar2.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There's an extremely refreshing, but subtle cooling sensation and then the skin is left feeling super super smooth. My skin looks visibly more <u>matte but it is in no way dry</u>. And that's the reason I use it for a base! It's a gentle prep for my makeup that gives the effect of my makeup being a lot more smoother, especially in my pore problem areas like the nose and chin. This is pretty much an unconventional use for the product but I think it works well for me. It has <b>good oil control</b> too, and doesn't clog my irritable pores. It's a must have for me in summer.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2ZR2RR1SIYdpWV1R5HMkTJ51VT78LuvXedLfNWVLkCgLIuLPW1JhVawP5pGpdM8AKSDImOOvrez3AyiR_jo7eZZtJpyVrQdEEp7TEmNdX14CE1rfxIRyu3uLyspV6DXdygCJISLkxeqQ/s1600/calr3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2ZR2RR1SIYdpWV1R5HMkTJ51VT78LuvXedLfNWVLkCgLIuLPW1JhVawP5pGpdM8AKSDImOOvrez3AyiR_jo7eZZtJpyVrQdEEp7TEmNdX14CE1rfxIRyu3uLyspV6DXdygCJISLkxeqQ/s640/calr3.jpg" width="600" /></a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In terms for longevity, I think the 'matte' effect/ oil control is pretty good. It's not <i>SUPERB CRAZY AMAZING- </i>but still very good. I remember using this in summer and it was noticeably less oily by the end of the day in comparison to when I didn't use it. My makeup also wasn't gross and melting off and I also didn't get those little bumps by the end of the day that would've resulted if I put something that clogged my pores on in the sweltering heat. I probably wouldn't wear foundation in summer without it!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">One thing I don't like about this product is the packaging. It looks pretty and expensive, but the pump is really annoying in my opinion. It's one of those pumps that has a lot of resistance, so you end up using caution to softly pressing down hoping you don't squeeze too much and then suddenly a whole slosh of product flies out and it's way too much for even my big face! It has happened to me so many times, and on top of that, there is so much force that the lotion dispenses with great momentum behind it. It can be sent flying across the room even! (trust me, it's happened and it wasn't pretty..)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is not a good thing considering the texture is watery and you can really go a long way with just a tiny bit of product. It's one of those things I would <b>use sparingly</b> and therefore would prefer it dispense sparingly too. It kind of annoyed me how much went to waste at times. If you're the type of person that really can't be bothered and prioritise convenience of packaging for your product of choice, steer clear of this!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But again, the price is probably the ultimate decider here. I liked the product and I don't think I will run out of it any time soon, but I don't know whether I'd purchase this when this one runs out. I'm just not a luxury-skincare kind of girl and but if you're willing to fork out the money, I'd say go for it!</span></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It was raining today. I decided to keep it comfy with some of my really old jeans. I got them for 12p at Primark years ago, and they're still the most comfortable jeans I've ever, ever worn. They have so many dodgy holes, tears and stains but I really, really can't bear to let go of them. They're the most perfect fitting jeans ever. (And sometimes I get very devastated thinking about how I can never get another pair.)</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is such a lazy day outfit. I'm pairing my ratty jeans with my ratty old moto jacket that I've had for over 4 years, a $2 thrifted suedette button up (with silky soft lining!) and some $7 super comfy ankle boots from Kmart. To top it off, I matched my top to my squish old circle scarf. Super-ultra-lazy-cheap-comfort combo!<br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I previously did a post on my Deandri Helgas. So here's how I styled them down to form a very casual look.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMbI0KCrPIZRK86CjrafnOIEKePdYX7BYcNYzo8RV3STLqNwaozCjNVm1ZuRVe7DEonDALRrFv8D-vKflaiPSjsZTQLrkAGqmcCP0VL35a8GajgM0exqI1pXgkbUD3bgWr89mPgTy9Q2M/s1600/de0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMbI0KCrPIZRK86CjrafnOIEKePdYX7BYcNYzo8RV3STLqNwaozCjNVm1ZuRVe7DEonDALRrFv8D-vKflaiPSjsZTQLrkAGqmcCP0VL35a8GajgM0exqI1pXgkbUD3bgWr89mPgTy9Q2M/s1600/de0.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />I paired the Helgas with a slim skirt and an oversized knit and loosely knotted it to achieve a define silhouette. The outfit is compiled of exclusively neutral tones and black, perfect for a chilly day by the wharf!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU5lwVlVer4tuhjfGLAGN8_N7qQTirKJ3zEzGidaRRMfxvDCM1rauUgx6gcukG42_MWvnguRnm5eEz7J-6GdRKorFS2QTuRucRtPeROdAxoTz8pqmNtENMXZkkkRGHz-OScJRxt4b6QkY/s1600/de1.jpg" width="600" /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I like this skirt because it doesn't emphasis my thick thighs like how circle skirts do. I love circle skirts for concealing my problem areas but whipping out this silhouette once in a while is nice. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is my customised rehash of the classic minimalistic look, on a very tight budget! I've been enjoying learning about the style now, especially as it is so highly praised on the forum /r/femalefashionadvice. I wore this out on a day to town to hang out with my friends and grab some lunch. Very clean and comfortable!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I tried to create a lot of clean lines with blocked colours. I don't think it's particularly the most flattering on me but it's not completely horrible. Adopting a minimal look was a great way to utilise the skirt I found whilst thrifting- a clean and basic silhouette. Although it isn't monochromatic like what most minimalists prefer, i think it's a very nice pop of colour that creates the focal point very clearly.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hey everyone! I've been such a bad blogger with my lack of posts but today I have for everyone a really good one. I don't get a lot of "views" but most of my readers always ask me about my hair! I'm known as the girl with the <i>really-long-hair</i> in real life too! I thought it would be fun to do an image-tutorial type thing rather than have me rambling for twenty minutes on video. Forgive me for some of the silly photos, but this was really fun for me. I hope you enjoy! The editing took about a day straight. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you want to know all about my hair routine, click read more! (Image heavy)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">First of all, my hair type is oily! Even though it is very oily, because it is so long, the ends are quite dry and damaged. I've always been quite adventurous with my hairstyle in terms of cut and colour, further contributing to how dry/damaged it has become. Honestly, I don't feel like I do anything extremely ~magical~ to it, nor do I use a ton of serums. The way I maintain my hair definitely wouldn't work for everyone either- I've always had rather long hairstyles and my hair grows pretty easily due to my oily hair type. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />With that being said, I really do think that my routine has contributed to helping the condition of my hair, as a lot of people who have barely dyed their hair (in comparison to my 20+ odd times & bleaching) seem to have a lot of problem with breakage and damage.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This post will be a step-by-step followthrough of how I maintain my hair and what I have done to keep it relatively "healthy" and long. My favourite hair products will be discussed at the bottom!</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I do approach washing my hair with a very specific method. This is an optimised method that works well for my long hair, but would also work for others that have particularly damaged ends like mine.<br />Because my hair is oily, I use a strong shampoo that helps fight the greasiness (<i>products listed at the end of this post!</i>). The reason I mainly work the shampoo into my <b>scalp only</b> is because it is less harsh on the ends of my hair this way. I avoid <b>unnecessary friction</b> that takes place when rubbing the ends of your hair with a <u>cleansing product</u>- you don't need this if your hair is dry! </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Rubbing shampoo into your ends will strip them entirely of any sort of oils, this is a much more effective way for me to wash my hair.</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />When you rinse the shampoo out, the directional flow of the water from the shower still reaches and cleans the tips but gently- not only in terms of how the product comes in contact with your hair, but the shampoo formula itself is a mix of water and therefore less harsh. </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I usually keep my hair clean until the next wash, so unless I've got paint on the tips accidentally, or somehow it has become dirty, I will use this method.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you are prone to split ends, even if your hair is short, this really helps tackle the frizziness by not stripping your ends completely of oils. Sometimes I will do this twice if I feel the need to.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">**I wash my hair every odd day. <b>DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR DAILY! </b>(for obvious reasons.)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>STEP 2:</b> Conditioning</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijCEbmfthWATNqHNcCBHRIuw8CzTtfoCQN9qAvD1U7RCivrCNUps0hVRlVBtmF7cLDP5AVPDSS4oUhmOKt-6fDeCCWWhtg76bEW6y36AmmVsx42QAebJS_O7meJpcb_yzkcJa8GBEPlYs/s1600/hairss4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijCEbmfthWATNqHNcCBHRIuw8CzTtfoCQN9qAvD1U7RCivrCNUps0hVRlVBtmF7cLDP5AVPDSS4oUhmOKt-6fDeCCWWhtg76bEW6y36AmmVsx42QAebJS_O7meJpcb_yzkcJa8GBEPlYs/s1600/hairss4.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwKYOlV8H1gwK-y7LTXcENn81JmqyDM75_5l7SL3TxWyZqklk8wHHV0rPezIi-r5U9v4m95KMoz2yD8ZZuNFzY9NAjQdDDhW5QN11mNUmus6eioVkBKb1NonMCF9tfiv9Z9xDTJiwGODg/s1600/hairss6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwKYOlV8H1gwK-y7LTXcENn81JmqyDM75_5l7SL3TxWyZqklk8wHHV0rPezIi-r5U9v4m95KMoz2yD8ZZuNFzY9NAjQdDDhW5QN11mNUmus6eioVkBKb1NonMCF9tfiv9Z9xDTJiwGODg/s640/hairss6.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My hair is reaaaaaaally long (>_<) and as I mentioned before, the ends get insanely dry. On top of that, it can become super knotted as well, leading to frizz, leading to split ends! (The cycle never ends! T_T)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> But because of this, I pay a lot of attention to conditioning. During showers, I <i>always</i> follow the steps of washing my hair <b>first</b>, then condition and <u>leave it in until the very end</u> (washing it out <b>after </b>face/body wash etc etc). </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When conditioning, I gently <u>wring out the excess water </u>from my hair and try to keep it at a damp state- this helps with retaining the conditioner. Less water= less runny= stay in longer! I will then massage the conditioner into my tips, adding a generous amount. Your hair will be "slippery" so if you have tangles, try to detangle them here.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Putting your hair up will keep it <b>away</b> from the stream of water and prevent it from washing the conditioner off instantly. Keep the conditioner in <i>AS LONG AS POSSIBLE</i>. For me, that's about 10 minutes (the duration of my shower!)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It's kind of like a "leave in conditioner" every wash and it keeps my ends at bay. Note that your conditioner will play a crucial role in this, as watery or runny formulas usually don't hold up as well. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">**<b>rinse clean in COLD WATER! </b>I do this even in <i><u>Winter</u></i>. It will prevent frizz and keep the nice 'conditiony' feeling in longer. But make sure to rinse all the conditioner off properly. Leaving residue is not good.<br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>STEP 3:</b> Drying</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I wrap my hair into a towel knot and let it dry a bit (usually take it out while damp and let it air dry). I don't like to "rub" the towel against my hair like a lot of people do as I've found it makes my hair more frizzier than it has to be (Again, avoid the friction). This is a more gentle approach that "locks" in the moisture. (There is nothing interesting about it, so be prepared for this gorjuz selfie guiz.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0mDqOfXoKyUhD7aspSXQeAdNx1C1cUqqKRbyO_U6ILWurEiQvz_ypW-gWXnfOrbZlY-lfky7YtG-ve3udzOLaYnhK3R7N2YBfSN1uOBEnUDMz0CbsR3PbPM5bmkXU8lmP84kkYKGHnbo/s1600/hairss7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0mDqOfXoKyUhD7aspSXQeAdNx1C1cUqqKRbyO_U6ILWurEiQvz_ypW-gWXnfOrbZlY-lfky7YtG-ve3udzOLaYnhK3R7N2YBfSN1uOBEnUDMz0CbsR3PbPM5bmkXU8lmP84kkYKGHnbo/s1600/hairss7.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>I don't use a hairdryer to dry my hair,</b> unless I'm desperate. My hair is naturally straight (<i>all images in this post are of my hair in its fully natural state!</i>). I used to use a straightening iron religiously when I had side bangs and went for the ultra-super-straight look. But nowadays I really can't be bothered because it takes too long to straighten my whole head of hair.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u><b>POST SHOWER ROUTINE</b></u></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Before my hair is <i>fully dry</i>, I sometimes spray <b>Liese Juicy Shower</b> onto the ends. I barely do it recently though (again, lazy) but will go back to it when my hair is feeling painfully brittle. I only comb my ends, VERY GENTLY, while my hair is still moist from washing my hair.<br />Combing your hair when wet makes it weaker, so I try to leave it until it's almost dry. The reason I don't just wait until it's completely dry (like advised) is because my hair is IMPOSSIBLE to work with at that state. The moisture makes it easier to manage and comb out the plethora of tangles that come with having long hair.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHS37EC6XLhjXaar2zmvz4adnkj0wcEK3jCXT8BFx3SJhyvaLfNwH8SpMZcvAcr-6NDXc46Ke_Si7CR2l0_WDkDNJ89Bctwp2I3LQ-bGsE3sxY4Teqim2jFK8mD7va9ZDmVBJoeFJnGRc/s1600/hairss8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHS37EC6XLhjXaar2zmvz4adnkj0wcEK3jCXT8BFx3SJhyvaLfNwH8SpMZcvAcr-6NDXc46Ke_Si7CR2l0_WDkDNJ89Bctwp2I3LQ-bGsE3sxY4Teqim2jFK8mD7va9ZDmVBJoeFJnGRc/s1600/hairss8.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I honestly don't do this last step that often. I hate combing my hair and once went a year without combing it once. I only do this nowadays if my hair is REALLY RANK and is in a demonic ball of tangles. But it doesn't happen all that often!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Well I hope you enjoyed these lame pictures on my haircare routine! I'm sorry it's not as exciting/complicated/special as most people think. If I did this post probably 2 years ago I would have a lot more to say, but I don't really do anything to my hair these days.</span></div>

<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">GENERAL HAIR INFO</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have tried <b>hundreds</b> of different hair related products. I was on a quest to find the best of everything and I feel that I have a good combo that works well for me. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVwqDzouZyd9LBOrZvoRX9ZvY-QLc4IWcr824Oy3eunFVDvAl7hluuiCfMf6QYvKnIdW7DLKw8LEG9Wx4bOOLROghETb0fwsQmVjk6Eut3c3g6H00v_62fiz2VYtY5_Nxn3_DYdb3Zy2g/s1600/3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVwqDzouZyd9LBOrZvoRX9ZvY-QLc4IWcr824Oy3eunFVDvAl7hluuiCfMf6QYvKnIdW7DLKw8LEG9Wx4bOOLROghETb0fwsQmVjk6Eut3c3g6H00v_62fiz2VYtY5_Nxn3_DYdb3Zy2g/s1600/3.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u>1. Head & Shoulders Shampoo</u><br />I've used this for over 5 years and I always go back to it. My hair is quite greasy and I feel like this is the only shampoo that does the job and <b>keeps</b> my hair clean until the next wash.<br /><u>2. Tresemme Conditioner</u><br />Again, I've been consistently using the same conditioner for over 4 years. I've tried all sorts of conditioners for damaged hair, including organic ones and high end brands but none of them retain the moisture as well as Tresemme does. The one pictured is a new product line that I'm trying out, but I usually don't use this one. My <b>holy grail conditioner is the <a href="http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/product.asp?id=49359&source=GS&gclid=CJ-y0ce-zbgCFchfpgod4mcAMQ" target="_blank">Tresemme Colour Revital </a>.</b> It's a creamy texture that when rinsed properly, doesn't leave a filmy texture like most budget conditioners do. I've loved it so much and have NOT changed for so long. I don't think I ever will at this price too!<br /><u>3. Liese Juicy Shower</u><br />This is an asian brand hair "treatment" in a spray. I've actually gone through one bottle already. They have refills (that I've managed to purchase and top off the pretty bottle). It smells positively heavenly and the product disperses well. I don't think this is the "<i>best-______ever!!</i>" as I do with my other products, but I've been using this for around 2 years and its so convenient that I've just stuck with it. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Oils and butters etc are kinda gross to apply- I personally dislike that feeling on my hands and just be soaked into my hair. Because Juicy Shower is a liquid spray, it is too easy! The post shower-format of application is also very simple as you don't feel the mist and it naturally dries along with your hair. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u>4. Klorane Dry Shampoo</u><br />This is a recent addition to my permanent-life-haircare-cycle. Dry shampoo is a must for my greasy scalp! I was previously a long term user of Batiste due to it's affordability but after investing in Klorane Oat Dry Shampoo, I can't seem to go back. It just really is the best and lives up to the hype! I use this so often and have gone through a few bottles. It's extremely handy for Summer.<br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitSDCSanFIjznS7VmLrn14P2_fKy-znMqL0EsSVQIMR_VvEVIrdA21TyTyZlpv0dI_56Wwt03K8S8dljHpzLZdkWgLXfbSbqPMxHxCd2Oqe7Re1ihaQWZMWNYopWdIH1c_PI3jKEpn8jo/s1600/hair1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="relative" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitSDCSanFIjznS7VmLrn14P2_fKy-znMqL0EsSVQIMR_VvEVIrdA21TyTyZlpv0dI_56Wwt03K8S8dljHpzLZdkWgLXfbSbqPMxHxCd2Oqe7Re1ihaQWZMWNYopWdIH1c_PI3jKEpn8jo/s1600/hair1.jpg" width="600" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1/2. Schwarzkopf got2b Guardian Angel Heat Protector</span></u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I used to be intensely into straightening and curling and styling my hair in general. Back in those days, I tried too many products to count. But none of them could really match the Guardian Angel Heat Protector. <br />I first tried (1) after purchasing it from Boots when I was on holiday in London. I loved it. It's super affordable and easy to acquire.Yes, some heat protectants I've used are better in terms of quality, but I find that <b>all of them smelled overpowering, nauseating even</b>. Others, such as the famous <i>Tresemme heat protector</i>, have produced disappointing results and are just bad in my opinion. I know I couldn't praise the conditioner enough, but their heat protector is just ridiculously useless and overhyped. Anyway, getting back to the point, imagine my dismay when I ran out and they didn't sell it in Australia! Luckily I found they started distributing here after maybe a year of experimenting with other high end protectants and immediately switched back!<br /><u>3. Taft Mattifying Powder</u><br />I don't use this <i>heaps</i>. But when I do, I like it. It's not superhuman in performance but easy to use. More importantly, it's the exact same "dust it" volumising powder that they repackage and market in the womens line for about double the price. Try this out!<br /><u>4. Loreal Elnett for Colour Hair</u><br />Okay, this is another product that has been buzzed about online, and I really have fallen in love with it too! I don't know how on earth this hairspray is so different from the millions on the market, but it is the only one that doesn't leave my hair crusty and hard. This is important if you have damaged/brittle hair because we don't need it to look drier than it is, right? I've repurchased this countless times and it does the job well. In terms of performance, of course it doesn't hold your hair the same way as if you were to freeze it in place with some rock hard hairspray, but I don't mind. (:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you have noticed, I use practically all drugstore products. I'm not unwilling to spend a lot on haircare- I have actually tried some really expensive products before and all the serums, butters, oils that you could imagine. But none of them have worked as well as the ones I have listed. It's weird but true.<br /> I don't think there is some sort of magical formula for growing out your hair or keeping it in a nice condition and nothing can reverse the damage. Products only <b>conceal the condition of your hair if it's bad, but it's still there</b>. <br />Honestly, I think that my hair has grown faster now that I've stopped smothering it with so many products. I keep exposure to unnecessary chemicals to a minimum and try not to expose it to unnatural conditions (such as heat). With that being said, I still do these things, it's just that the way I approach my hair works for me. I dislike how flat my hair is, etc etc. but I know a lot of people aren't as fortunate to have very straight, "common" hair that most people desire. </span></div>

<u><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">FAQ</span></u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>How long did it take to grow your hair out?</b> I've always had long hair, but I would guessimate about ~4 years.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">How long is your hair? </b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I don't know numerically, but it goes to my belly button.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When was your hair at its longest?</b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Around 16-17. But it was grossly long.</span></div>
<b style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When was your hair at its shortest?</b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Probably when I was 5.. had a typical Asian ball cut.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><b style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Who cuts your hair?</b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Me! With the help of various family members.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Do you wear extensions? </b> NO. And I never have. I don't think I will<br /><b>Do you straighten your hair?</b> Not anymore.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>What was your favourite hairstyle? </b>Probably my red fringe, but we all know what happened to that. >_></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>What hairstyle/cut would you like to try next?</b> Always wanted to go fully red! Tried a lot of times in the past but it was <i>very</i> difficult to maintain/got lazy.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Best celeb hair?</b> I love Emma Stone in blonde and orange, but I'm very biased towards her in general. Other than that, I would say Lana Del Rey, or Ariana Grande.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">playing around with how I would style this jacket. I got it on sale from Urban Outfitters for $19.99 from $154. Probably the best steal I've found in a while. I love it. It may look like an ordinary jacket but the details are superb. The folds of the lapel are remarkable, everything has perfectly neat edges.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The PU strip running down the back of the jacket really finishes the design off as well as giving it a unique look. <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It's been ages since I have done a proper ootd! Mostly because I have been busy (hence no time to take pretty pictures), others I felt that my outfits have just been drab due to the formerly mentioned reason.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I wish I was more blatantly trendy but when it comes down to it, I'm a sucker for practicality and comfort. I don't think I could ever be one of those girls that carries around only their makeup travel case to uni in a tiny little handbag. <br />I suffer from a case of nerdism- my bag is packed to the brim with my textbooks and other handy bits. I've learned to adopt to the lack of trends and the rather clunky aesthetic of a backpack [especially with skirts ): ]. I recently got this Nixon one for sale at $29.99 at General Pants Co. It's cute and decent for the price. I love the straps as they are seat belts and are pretty unique. I feel totally safe and "strapped in" with them.<br /><br />The dress has been hiding in my closet for over two years, unworn. I finally whipped it out- and I love it! Thankyou Primark for such a good deal.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">anyways, as to the title of this outfit- it is derived not only from it's literal boundaries but also from The Game of Thrones. I've been watching it lately, and it is so damn intense. It's a great show!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">As I mentioned, I've been pretty occupied lately- from adjusting to university life, to becoming legal and also at times pondering my existentialist life and the point in the universe... well anyway. Without further ado, let me take you through it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><img border="0" height="312" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj71QSYzk60iFqmXVQ_YsmeEFtBjZl-42HI8NIyZEpZ_Va4oWkb4y6r6ewbe-xq4dECFIzbgcUvaNcYiEAWbAM61AuwzW_QJbbqIOr4Ta1Nqs8LtbHhDmqe7JkD0zx5SRgY4cZ9Yc7h39I/s640/114p1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" width="640" /></span></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">L-R: <i>top quality show and sets, Oliver serenading in front+ Jamie doing his thing behind.</i></span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">I had the chance to go to The XX concert. My city was their first stop in their Australian tour, and luckily I became of legal age a few days before the concert that was held at a club. I was front row, aching in my Litas but it was worth it. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">They were exceptional live and with the atmospheric effects, I dare say better than the studio recordings.
