OOTD- Autumn in Spring

My final exam of the year was today! *hollers* So much excitement and relief flooded through me- even though I probably didn't do too well- I'm so glad they're finally over. This year more than most, I'm looking forward to the break and being productive, getting my life started and reaching my goals finally seems possible. Challenges are abundant, but bring it on (I say for once)!
This isn't my usual style, but what can I say? I'm not one to be closed minded. I felt so girly and feminine, it was an awkward change haha. Still fun and perfect for this weather while still being modest!

OOTD- Super Casual

It was raining today. I decided to keep it comfy with some of my really old jeans. I got them for 12p at Primark years ago, and they're still the most comfortable jeans I've ever, ever worn. They have so many dodgy holes, tears and stains but I really, really can't bear to let go of them. They're the most perfect fitting jeans ever. (And sometimes I get very devastated thinking about how I can never get another pair.)

This is such a lazy day outfit. I'm pairing my ratty jeans with my ratty old moto jacket that I've had for over 4 years, a $2 thrifted suedette button up (with silky soft lining!) and some $7 super comfy ankle boots from Kmart. To top it off, I matched my top to my squish old circle scarf. Super-ultra-lazy-cheap-comfort combo!

Have a lovely day! x
Angie.

OOTD- Somedays Lovin'/Thrifted/Unif

Went to Ikea the other day and I thought I'd share what I wore! It included 'faux' waist tie shorts that I absolutely adore from the brand Somedays Lovin'. I got them from MarketHQ.

cute packaging! My hair got caught >_>

It was quite chilly so I was abit underdressed. I am wearing nude tights which make my legs look so much nicer than they are. I still have a grossly visible scar from skateboarding that actually runs all the way down my left leg. Yay for tights!

OOTD: Ahoy The Nineties Knot

I always end up choosing the wrong day for clothes. It was windy as hell and my skirt was going haywire. It was time to whip out the nineties knot to cover up- result was a very awkward outfit. And my bad being cold and whipped by air. Twas cool at least.

OOTD: Winter is Coming!

It's been ages since I have done a proper ootd! Mostly because I have been busy (hence no time to take pretty pictures), others I felt that my outfits have just been drab due to the formerly mentioned reason.

cropped jumper: H&M/ dress: primark / cutout boots: zipia / chain link belt: asos / backpack: Nixon-General Pants co.

I wish I was more blatantly trendy but when it comes down to it, I'm a sucker for practicality and comfort. I don't think I could ever be one of those girls that carries around only their makeup travel case  to uni in a tiny little handbag.
I suffer from a case of nerdism- my bag is packed to the brim with my textbooks and other handy bits. I've learned to adopt to the lack of trends and the rather clunky aesthetic of a backpack [especially with skirts ): ]. I recently got this Nixon one for sale at $29.99 at General Pants Co. It's cute and decent for the price. I love the straps as they are seat belts and are pretty unique. I feel totally safe and "strapped in" with them.

The dress has been hiding in my closet for over two years, unworn. I finally whipped it out- and I love it! Thankyou Primark for such a good deal.

anyways, as to the title of this outfit- it is derived not only from it's literal boundaries but also from The Game of Thrones. I've been watching it lately, and it is so damn intense. It's a great show!

ootd: Life Changes and Sometimes My Clothes Do Too

I've really been neglecting this blog! But So much has happened recently. I'm now in university, and I recently turned the legal adult age. I've been preoccupied adjusting to such a different and sudden life and with that is having to coordinate an outfit every single day. I used to wear my uniform everyday, it was so easy but I was excited to start expressing myself with the way I dress. I didn't expect it to be so stressful!

I really can't stand in front of a camera with a straight face
the day I wore this, It was raining. Figures. It would happen to me.

have a great day,

someone out there loves you.

Jeffrey Campbell Lita Glitter Unboxing & Review

I had to grab these up during the Solestruck black friday sale. Click through the jump for more! :)

They are the Jeffrey Campbell Lita in Red Glitter. RRP at $159.95 and I snatched them up for around $50.
I have always wanted to "experience" the Lita due to it's almost viral effect on not only the internet but fashion enthusiasts alike. Just about every body and their mothers rave about the Lita as being undyingly comfortable. And who doesn't want that with a heel?
I got these in a size US7. They didn't have any half sizes with this range, and from my previous experience with the Tardy's (that can be also found on my blog), I thought I could go down a bit just to prevent my foot from sliding so much, and my arch from being all weird.

As you can see, they are a bright red glitter with varying sized particles with a wooden heel. My low budget digital camera does not do them justice. Especially when they are being all naturally fabulous and glittering in the sun.

The glitter flakes are multi-dimensional and very iridescent. If you look closely you can see that they are actually a range of sizes from tiny, fine glitters to slightly chunkier pieces, enhancing the effect of movement within the shoe.

I love red. It's one of my favourite colours. And I love the premise of this boot. it's a more wearable,
substantial version to a classic party look. I feel like I'm a modern day Dorothy in these.

What I really don't like is that the glitters are loose glitters. I probably wouldn't really go for a glossed glitter anyway because they almost always look tacky, but the fallout on these shoes is no joke.
If you consider the rrp is $150+, you'd think that Jeffrey Campbell, a company known for bringing high style to the relatively affordable market of shoes, would give you what you are paying for.
But even untying the laces and carefully sliding my foot in gives me extreme fallout.

The fact that the shoe is covered in loose glitters also makes the ankle part that comes into contact with skin a flipping nightmare. I'm not a fan of anything that irritates my skin and these shoes itch like a bitch when the glitter rubs my ankles. Worst thing is that that alone is wearing away the glitter.

Most Litas are made from genuine leather so it's also kinda sucky these are made of pv-like synthetics, again considering the price is the same as real leather Lita's, I would never have paid the full price for these.

My foot is also wide. These are snug, I will admit that, but nothing I can't work with and nothing compared to some other shoes I've limped over after wearing them for the tiniest time.

The only redeeming factor is that they are at a great angle. I can see what people mean by how comfy they are. Also, the effect of these shoes from further away, (lol aka the distance people usually will be at to see anyone's shoes) is breathtaking. The tiny teeny problems with the particles flaking off aren't that visible if you aren't too fussed. Since I got these at such a low price, I can't complain.

I bought 2 pairs of Lita's and these are the more wearable pair. The other pair, the Lita Spike v.2 in Denim are x100 more comfy, I must admit but unfortunately I don't think I could pull them off. I want to keep a pair even though both propose different dilemmas. So I will be keeping these despite the aforementioned "problems" with the shoe, because they are still pretty cute and I got them for a crazy price.
